Originally drafted 56th overall by the Hartford Whalers in 1982, Kevin Dineen would suit up in 1188 National Hockey League contests over the course of 19 years in the league, split between Hartford, Philadelphia, Carolina, Ottawa and Columbus. Also regularly suiting up for Team Canada in international competition, offered here is this photo-matched Whalers jersey worn by Dineen during the 1990-91 season. Made by CCM, a partially washed out Maska tag that has had Dineen's number "11" penned to it in black marker is affixed to the inner collar with the jersey itself measuring out to roughly a size "52". Accented over the reverse hem with the embroidered logos of CCM and the NHL, the jersey hails from the only season the Whalers wore mesh uniforms with that logo combination on the hem. Decorated over the front with a Whalers team crest in layered tackle twill and featuring the distinguished alternate captain's "A" over the left breast, the sleeves and verso of the jersey have had Dineen's number "11" sewn to them in dual layer white-over-blue tackle twill numerals while "Dineen" is spelt out in matching style letters that have been affixed directly to the material at the top of the back. Exhibiting good game-wear, stick marks are observed throughout the body and both sleeves while the arms also show numerous board burns, coloured paint transfers and small unrepaired holes as well. Displaying team repairs over the lower reverse, the back also presents with more board burns, coloured paint transfers and small unrepaired holes that are worthy of mention while the interior shows pilling near both elbows and underneath the fight strap, the white areas of the collar and cuffs show sweat staining of varying degrees. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-match, the jersey is matched with Getty Image #1182767692 (October 17th, 1990 vs Toronto) to various stick marks through the front crest and over the right cuff, left sleeve and left side.
