Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
Always a physical threat on the ice, Joey Kocur has won four Stanley Cups including his last as the video coach for Detroit in 2002. This Detroit Red Wings jersey was worn by Kocur in 1988-89. The Maska Ultrafil tag remains tightly attached to the collar, with embroidered and rubberized CCM and Eastside patches on the lower hem respectively. Accented with tackle twill numbers and letters, the garment has the back name affixed directly onto the sweater. With just light game-use visible including a few dark marks present, we should note that there are stains on the team crest that are possibly blood. Joey has also added a nice large black marker signature to the back “6”, and it has faded very slightly over time.
