One of the most productive forwards of the 1990s and early-2000s, Joe Sakic spent over a dozen seasons in Denver, leading Colorado to the holy land in both 1996 and 2001. This signed Avalanche captain’s jersey was worn by Sakic in 1999-00, a season that witnessed 81 points scored in just 60 games. Pro Player labeling along with a 54 size tag remain affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and Pro Player crests on the reverse hem, while the NHL 2000 patch resides over the right breast. Featuring an attractive Avalanche team crest with embroidered detailing, the V-neck sweater has “19” sewn to the sleeves and verso in textured triple-twill, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. The dual-clasp fight strap is intact. Sakic has signed the reverse “1” in black marker, with the signature a bit weak but displaying well. Game-wear includes a few small marks to the team crest and sleeves, with a pair of faint burn marks over the left elbow. Hailing directly from a former employee of the Avalanche, his signed LOA will accompany.
