Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
The first US president to mark the 40th anniversary of his inauguration, Jimmy Carter was a Georgia State senator from 1963 to 1967 and the 76th governor of Georgia, from 1971 to 1975. Narrowly defeating incumbent Republican President Gerald Ford in the 1976 general election, Cater would serve as the 39th President of the United States, in office from January 20, 1977 to January 20, 1981. We have a signed hardcover copy of Carter’s autobiographical work Why Not the Best? Featuring the Presidential seal on the cover, the 208-page volume has been signed by Carter on the title page in black fiber-tip marker, with the dark signature flawless. “Best Wishes” precedes the signature, along with a personalization. With no issues for the beautiful signature or high-grade book, an LOA from JSA will accompany, along with a second LOA.
