Drafted 48th overall in 1991 by the New York Islanders, “Noodles” as he is affectionately known, would backstop six NHL clubs over a total of 254 games. This photo-matched mask was worn by Jamie McLennan with the Florida Panthers 2005-06. An Itech model made by Jerry Wright with intact strapping and cage, the paint job was executed by Frank Cipra and features a large Panthers logo and eyes dripping metal seen on the left and right sides. Additionally, McLennan’s number “29” is found over the chin being flanked on each side by an homage to one of McLennan’s favourite bands, Nickleback. The backplate remains fairly simple with “Noodles” found at the bottom. Nice use is exhibited with chipping throughout the mask and cage as well as puck marks. There is also some soiling to the chin cup and interior padding. It should also be noted that the cage shows wear not present in photos from McLennan’s last game with Florida (April 15th, 2006) including chips and partial detachment caused by missing hardware on the left side. McLennan has signed the right side of the mask with a bold black ink signature that displays without issue and as added a “2005/2006 Game Worn” inscription. Getty Image #56609420 (December 30, 2005 vs Montreal) is matched to a number of paint chips/scratches on the left ear side of the mask while Getty Image #57587365 (April 11, 2006 vs Toronto) is matched to a number of paint chips/scratches on the left ear side and the chin of the mask.
