The Jacques Laperriere Auction - Fall 2008
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2008
A runner-up to Pierre Pilote in Norris Trophy voting the previous season, Jacques Laperriere claimed the award for himself following the 1965-66 season. Laperriere ended Pilote’s three-year hold on the award as he was named to the First All-Star Team for the second year in a row after being named a Second Team All-Star as a rookie in 1963-64. This marvelous replica trophy was produced by Boffey’s in recent years and presented to Laperriere. The octagonal wood base measures 6 ½” across at its widest and the trophy stands 12” tall from the bottom of the base to top of the trophy with its lid in place. The mouth of the trophy’s cup is 6” across in diameter. A 2” plaque on the base reads, “Jacques Laperriere, Montreal Canadiens, 1965-66” and the cup is a faitful replica of the original trophy. This fantastic award comes along with Jacques Laperriere’s signed letter of authenticity.
