Originally displayed at the International Hockey Hall of Fame – now the Original Hockey Hall of Fame – located in historic Kingston, Ontario, this unique group of displays all feature teams that won gold at the IIHF World Championships, ranging from the first winners in 1920, to 1973, totaling 37. All approx in the 10” x 10” range give or take (a few are either over or undersized), the majority feature a photo affixed to a cardboard or sytrofoam backing, with the players listed beneath. Included are examples for the Winnipeg Falcons 1920 (2, one photo is for 1921), Toronto Varsity Grads 1928 (2), Toronto 1930, U of Manitoba Bisons 1931, Winnipeg Hockey Club 1932, Saskatoon Quakers 1934, Winnipeg Monarchs 1935, Great Britain 1936, Kimberely Dynamiters 1937, Trail Smoke Eaters 1938, Sudbury Wolves 1938, Czechoslovakia 1947, RCAF Flyers 1948, Czechoslovakia 1949, Edmonton Mercurys 1950, Lethbridge Maple Leafs 1951, Edmonton Mercurys 1952, Sweden 1953, Penticton V’s 1955, Sweden 1957, Belleville McFarlands 1959, Trail Smoke Eaters 1961 (2), Sweden 1962, Soviet Nationals 1965, Soviet Nationals 1966, Soviet Nationals 1967, Soviet Nationals 1968, Soviet Nationals 1969, Soviet Nationals 1970 (2), Soviet Nationals 1971, Czechoslovakia 1972, Soviet Nationals 1973 and Soviet Nationals 1974. The majority of the displays present beautifully and show wear commensurate with their age and former use, with a number sporting dinged corners, surface wear and the odd stain or blemish. A number also have velcro or tape over the reverse.
