The Quebec Nordiques gave Guy Lafleur the opportunity to show that he still had game when he returned to the site of his junior hockey success for the final two seasons of his NHL career. Despite playing less than half of the 1989-90 Nordiques' season, Guy netted 34 points in 39 games. He added 28 points the following season, bringing his career totals to 560 goals, 793 assists and 1,353 points in 1,127 regular season games. Lafleur wore this Nordiques road jersey during his final stint in Quebec City. Currently void of tagging and measuring-out to a size 56, embroidered CCM and NHL logos grace the lower hem, with this combination used by the Nords at the end of the 1989-90 season and in the 1990-91 season. Featuring a tackle twill team crest, all other identifiers including “Lafleur” over the name plate, Guy’s signature “10” and Quebec's iconic fleur de lys emblems have all been administered in heat-pressed vinyl.
With the original fight strap is intact, black stick marks dot the front hem of this Lafleur gamer, with additional marks over each sleeve offering further testimony to its game use. There is some wear and minor cracking/peeling to some of the vinyl accents, including each fleur de lys emblem over the shoulder and a pair over the lower front. There is also some light wear to the reverse numbers.
