Capturing the prestigious Frank J. Selke Trophy three times throughout his career, Guy Carbonneau spent a dozen seasons with his home province Habs, winning a pair of Stanley Cup championships before later seasons with St Louis and Dallas. This Canadiens captain’s jersey was worn by Carbonneau during the Stanley Cup championship season of 1992-93. A Maska Ultrafil label and size “52” fly tag are affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the bottom hem. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, the white V-neck has been accented with “21” in blue-over-red tackle twill sleeves and verso numbers, with “Carbonneau” across the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. The 1992 All-Star Game patch has been placed over the 75th anniversary crest on the right breast.
Moderate to heavier use is shown on the vintage sweater, with numerous marks and scrapes to the material over the sleeves including red paint transfer, with a large stick mark on the reverse right shoulder. There are also team repairs, with approx a dozen examples spread over the sleeves.
