Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Hundreds of frosted glass panels form a massive wall at the rear of the Great Hall in Toronto's Hockey Hall of Fame. Two identical panels are produced, one for the wall and the other to give to the honoured member, in this case legendary goalie Lorne “Gump” Worsley. This HOF dual-pane glass panel from Worsley's personal collection measures 12" x 12" and features a great image of Worsley, who died in 2007. The English and French bio states that Worsley won Calder Trophy with the Rangers, and the Stanley Cup four times with the Habs in the 1960s. A classy piece of hockey history, it remains in gorgeous condition and notes Worsley’s induction year of 1980. Comes with Gump Worsley’s signed LOA.
The panel indicates it was presented to Worsley when the Hall of Fame relocated to its current home in 1993.
