Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021

Gordie Howe may have retired from the NHL for a second time in 1980 at the age of 51 but he sure didn’t hang up his skates and stop playing hockey. Howe signed in black ink in the middle of his iconic No. 9 on the back of his Team “All Stars” jersey he wore during a 1985 exhibition game against members of Team Canada 1972 at Maple Leaf Gardens, which the All Stars won, 6-5. “9 Howe” is written in black ink on the Rawlings size XL fly tag in the neck. “Howe” is sewn on a red nameplate in white twill letters, the same material as the number 9 on the back and the stars on each shoulder. Molson Export embroidered patch is sewn on the left breast.
There is a black mark above the red felt Rawlings logo heat pressed on the right rear tail.
