Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Originating from the collection of George Gosselin, we have a gorgeous gold medal that was won at the IIHF World Hockey Championships in 1958. At 2 3/8”, a netminder is pictured in relief along with the date of “1958” below, encompassed by “World Championship” in both French and English. The reverse features a French monogram of the IIHF, with “1er” (first) below. There is also “Bronze” marked along the side. The original circular box is included (showing moderate wear), with the medal itself in stunning condition with just very light wear, mostly confined along the side. Gosselin won the gold medal as a member of the Allan Cup and World Championship-winning Whitby Dunlops.
