Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
Original New York Rangers they were, Frank Boucher and the Cook brothers, Bill and Bun, when the team was formed in 1926 and one of the greatest lines of all-time is what they became during their 10 years together, leading the Rangers to Stanley Cup wins in 1928 and 1933. The 1973 book "When The Rangers Were Young" by Boucher, (with Trent Frayne), recounts Boucher’s 30 years with the Blueshirts as a player, coach and general manager, with this copy given by him to fellow Hall-of-Famer Bun Cook. The first page is signed nicely in fine black marker "To Marie, Bunny and Family with Fond Memories - Frank Boucher." With over 30 photos, the book (with tape repair to the dust jacket), is a fascinating piece for Rangers’ faithful. From the family of Bun Cook, with an LOA to be included.
