Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017

The Toronto Maple Leafs trusted Felix the Cat to keep the puck out of their net when they reached the Western Conference Final in consecutive seasons in the early- to-mid-1990s. Felix Potvin’s circa 1993-94 Maple Leafs game-worn Koho Revolution goalie pads are from that era in Toronto, where the Buds fell just short of the Stanley Cup Final in both the 1993 and 1994 playoffs. “Custom made for Felix Potvin” patch is sewn on the top outside edge of the left pad at knee level. Potvin’s blue and black pads exhibit solid game use in the form of various scuffs and wear to the leather and wear to the inner knee padding. There is some rusting to the strap buckles that do not diminish the pads’ display.
