The first of its kind we’ve handled and hailing from the inaugural season, we have an attractive Penticton Vees alternate captain’s sweater worn by Ernie Rucks in 1951-52. Bright green felt with a beige shoulder band, a label from Unique Crests is affixed to the inside seam. Styled with a thick felt “V” team crest with “Penticton” sewn on, the vintage wool jersey also sports a thick felt captain’s “A” with “6” on verso, with six eyelet configuration on tie-neck construction. A few small random holes are present, along with a few repairs which include’s a patch affixed just beneath the right elbow. Rucks played for the Vees from 1951-52 to 1955-56, with a printed team pic and newspaper page about the team included.
