Drafted 76th overall by Columbus in 2014, Latvian-born Elvis Merzlikins spent several years playing in Switzerland for HC Lugano, before moving to North America for his NHL debut in 2019-20. Offered here, is this Blue Jackets jersey worn by Merzlikins during the 2021-22 season. Made by Adidas, a band with “58G” sizing sits along the inner collar with two dots handwritten below. NHL and Adidas crests adorning the front and back necklines respectively while a textured, partially embroidered Blue Jackets team crest decorates the front of the jersey. Alternate logo patches reside over each shoulder. A single white twill star is also found sewn to each cuff. Merzlikins’ number “90” has been sewn to the sleeves and verso in red outlined perforated white twill numbers with “Merzlikins” across the back in single layer navy twill letters on the affixed matching nameplate. Exhibiting good game-wear, puck marks are found over the front and sleeves, which also show red post paint transfer at the elbow area. A small team repair is also observed near the reverse hem. A team patch is affixed inside the rear hem, denoting the jersey as a “2021-22 season official game jersey” with a MeiGray patch numbered “U04357” alongside it. According to the company’s population report, the jersey is a “White Set 1” specimen. Additionally, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Image #1237108914 (December 7th, 2021 vs Toronto) to multiple puck marks over the front of the jersey. A Blue Jackets LOA will accompany the jersey.
