Ed Belfour spent half of his career in the Windy City, backstopping the Hawks to a pair of Conference Finals along with an appearance in the Stanley Cup Final in 1991-92. From the pinnacle of Ed Belfour’s marvelous Hall of Fame career, we have a pair of photo-matched goals pads worn by Ed in the mid-1990s as well as a blocker that’s also been photo-matched, along with a glove that may have been used with a different blocker of the same model and pants that were used with Chicago. There is also a pair of skates used during his career, likely while with Chicago, along with a jock strap, neck protector and signed inner glove that was worn inside his trapper. An LOA from Ed Belfour will accompany these desirable items.
The breakdown for each of the Ed Belfour game-worn items offered is as follows. 1) Photo-matched goal pads circa 1994-95. Cooper Reactor models in black and white with both screened-on and affixed identifiers, “Custom made for Ed Belfour” appears embroidered onto each outer side. Nice use is exhibited, with heavy wear and rubbing to the leather from a prolonged period of use. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-match, a 1995-96 Topps Stadium Club card has been matched to the top outside edge of the right leg pad, to the cut going through the "E" of "Flex" and to the wear pattern in this area and the top corner of the pad. 2) Photo-matched blocker circa 1994-95.
