This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
One of the best rookie performances ever seen in a Black Hawks uniform, goaltender Ed Belfour became the starter for Chicago in 1990-91, winning 43 of 74 games played and leading the league in save percentage. He also managed four shutouts along with an impressive 2.47 GAA, which was enough to garner the prestigious Calder Trophy as the league’s top rookie. This lot contains items from the Hall of Famer’s time in Illinois. We have a game-worn blocker that has been photo-matched to the 1993-94 season, a pair of goal pads that originate from the mid-1990s and a pair of pants worn while with Chicago. Next, we have his Hawks equipment bag followed by skate boots and a jock strap, all used at some point during his amazing career. There is also a small glove most likely worn within the trapper, and it has been signed. An LOA from Ed Belfour will accompany.
