The Hart Trophy runner-up as regular-season MVP while also earning the Selke, Doug Gilmour would register a franchise-leading 127 points during the 1992-93 campaign, with his post-season performance of 35 playoff points second only to Wayne Gretzky. We have the very stick Gilmour used to secure his milestone 118th point, passing Darryl Sittler on the Leafs list for single-season points, with the stick mounted within a sub-frame along with a generic 1992-93 game puck and 8” x 10” photo. At approx 23” x 68”, the stick has been glued to the mount, with a plaque centered listing the particulars, along with the mentioned photo and puck along with a Leafs emblem. The stick is a Hespeler Fibretech 5500 model with “D. Gilmour” stamped-on, with the stick retaining its original tape over the blade and handle. “93” has also been handwritten over the knob, with “118” written along the top. The stick exhibits nice use, with wear to the taped section of blade along with wear to the identifiers on the shaft. A signed LOA from Doug Gilmour will accompany.
The photo and puck both show light wear, with no issues for the mounted plaque. The sub-frame appears to be wood, foam and masonite, and it’s in poor condition, needing an outer frame. It can be sent as is, or the items can be removed and shipped individually if the winning bidder so desires.
