HOF center Doug Gilmour generated plenty of offense wherever he played throughout his brilliant career. This lot of six Gilmour sticks features gamers he used with five of the NHL teams he played for, including a 1988-89 Flames team-signed stick from Calgary’s Stanley Cup season, and according to our consignor, a Titan TPM 4020 stick that Killer used during the 1987 Canada Cup. The four other Gilmour game-used sticks are signed, including his 1986-87 St. Louis Blues Titan TPM 4020 with a “21 Nov. 1986” date stamp, a 1995-96 Toronto Maple Leafs Titan TPM 10000 with a “10 Jan 1996” date stamp, a mid-1990s New Jersey Devils Easton and a late-1990s Chicago Black Hawks Hespeler CS Pro.
Gilmour signed with his number “9” and his “Killer” nickname in bold blue marker low on the shaft of his 1986-87 St. Louis Blues Titan TPM 4020 gamer with "21 nov. 1986" stamped low on the back of the shaft. “Gilmour” is stamped on the shaft and his number “9” is handwritten in marker above it. His original tape jobs remain on the knob and on the toe of the blade;
Gilmour signed, “Best Wishes, Doug Gilmour #9” in red marker low on the front of the shaft of his Team Canada 1987 Canada Cup Titan TPM4020 game-used stick, which has code “187808” stamped low on the back of the shaft. Gilmour’s original tape job remains on the knob;
“D. Gilmour” is stamped on the shaft of Doug’s 1988-89 Flames team-signed Titan TPM1020 stick from Calgary’s Stanley Cup season. Gilmour’s No. “39” is handwritten in black marker on the front of the top of his tape job on the knob and through the top of his name stamp on the shaft. There are 16 black marker autographs on the front of the shaft, including fellow HOFers Lanny McDonald, Joe Mullen and Al MacInnis. “28901” is stamped low on the back of the shaft, and Gilmour’s original tape job on the blade has white residue on the top edge and upper portion of the front and back;
Gilmour’s signed 1995-96 Maple Leafs Titan 10000 game-used stick has “Gilmour” stamped on the shaft and a "10 jan 1996" low on the back of the shaft. Doug placed a nice big gold paint pen autograph across the bare blade. His original tape job remains on the knob;
Gilmour signed in bold blue marker low on the shaft of his circa mid-1990s Devils two-piece Easton Ultra AIG 7000 gamer. His original tape jobs remain on the knob and wood blade insert with “Gilmour” stamped on the front;
“Killer” is stamped both on the shaft and on the wood blade insert of Gilmour’s late-1990s Black Hawks Hespeler two-piece stick. The Hespeler CS Pro shaft is cracked on the lower portion.
