A former captain of SKA St. Petersburg in the KHL, Dmitri Kalinin also witnessed NHL action with both Buffalo and the New York Rangers. This photo-matched Sabres alternate captain’s jersey was worn by Kalinin in 2003-04. CCM labeling with a size 56 tag resides in the collar, with an NHL crest on the back bottom hem. Styled with the Sabres’ buffalo head team crest with embroidered detailing, “45” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in slanted twill, with alternate crests to each shoulder. Heavy game-use is visible with a number of black puck and stick marks scattered throughout, as well as a few board burns on the left sleeve. There is also some staining to the lower reverse. Getty Image #53084149 (Feb 21, 2004) has been matched to the long dark mark on the lower left of the front of the jersey, with the shape and length identical, while Getty Image #52315793 (undated) has been matched to the dark staining within the Sabres logo over the right shoulder. A patch from MeiGray numbered “B01593” is affixed to the inside hem, and according to the company’s population report, this jersey is a "White 2nd Regular Season w/A” specimen.
