Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
The longest-serving captain in the history of the Dallas Stars, Derian Hatcher spent 10 seasons in Texas, winning a Stanley Cup in 1999. We have a Stars captain’s jersey worn by the Michigan native in 1999-00, and it’s been photo-matched. CCM labeling sits along the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests on the back bottom hem. Styled with an attractive four-colour team crest, the dark sweater has been accented with three-layer tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with alternate crests over each shoulder and the NHL 2000 patch just above the right breast. Getty Image #110320376 from Dec 11th 1999 has been matched to the mark through the "D" of Dallas in the team crest, and to the long black mark though the gold and white stripes on the lower front of the jersey. An LOA from the Stars will accompany along with a COR from MeiGray.
Game-wear on the captain’s sweater is thorough, with board burns over each sleeve including a few small resulting holes, along with half a dozen team repairs, with examples over each sleeve along with a single repair on the lower front hem.
