Selected 8th overall at the 1990 NHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota North Stars, Derian Hatcher would transition with the club to Dallas during his sophomore campaign, and would spend a decade in Texas which included winning a Stanley Cup championship in 1999. We have a photo-matched Dallas Stars captain's jersey worn by Hatcher during the Stanley Cup championship season of 1998-99. A sewn-down CCM label and size “58” fly tag grace the collar, with CCM and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Styled with a textured Stars team crest with embroidered detailing, “2” appears over the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with alternate patches to each shoulder. The jersey show great game-use, with sweat staining to the collar, marks to the lower front and pilling to the interior. There is also repaired and unrepaired holes over the sleeves resulting from board burns, with 1 repair on the right sleeve and 4 repairs on the left. Getty Image #392938 (Dec 8, 1998) has been matched to the dark mark on the bottom of the "2" on the left sleeve, with the shape and placement identical. A MeiGray tag resides on the inside hem, with an LOA from the Stars to accompany, along with a COR from MeiGray.
