Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Well remembered as arguably the most famous Stanley Cup goal ever scored and catapulting the Boston Bruins to their first championship in almost three decades, Bobby Orr’s famous overtime winner in 1970 was assisted by Derek Sanderson, with both players honoured along with fellow Bruins from the 1970 Stanley Cup championship squad during a pre-game ceremony at TD Garden, on March 18, 2010. This is the Bruins jersey worn by superstar Derek Sanderson, and it has been signed. A Custom Crafted “Vintage” label is affixed to the collar, with the Stanley Cup “40th anniversary” crest over the right breast. Featuring a tackle twill team crest with “16” over the sleeves and verso in matching material, Sanderson has added a thin blue ink signature to the reverse “6”, and it displays well. A signed LOA from Derek Sanderson will accompany.
