Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
A true journeyman throughout his career during the earlier era of the NHL, Carl Voss was the first recipient of the coveted Calder Memorial Trophy as the league’s best rookie in 1933. The talented centerman was also an adept football player, with both a Grey Cup won in 1924 along with a Stanley Cup won in 1938. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1974 as a builder, Voss passed in 1993. We have a small photo signed by the Massachusetts native, with this 3 ½” x 5” image a modern glossy print of an original photo. Voss has signed along one side in ballpoint adding, “With Good Luck Always”. The signature displays well, with no issues for the photo itself.
