Enjoying a 13-year National Hockey League career after going undrafted, Dan Girardi spent 11 seasons in the uniform of the New York Rangers, playing all but 139 of his 927 games played in the NHL with the Blueshirts. Presented here, is this jersey worn by the longtime Ranger during the franchise’s 85th anniversary season of 2010-11. Made by Reebok and sporting a single size “58” label affixed to the inner collar, crests for the NHL and Reebok are found over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front of the tie-neck garmentwith the familiar “Rangers” diagonally down the chest in blue-over-red drop-shadow tackle twill letters, the all-important Rangers 85th anniversary patch is sewn over the right shoulder. The sleeves and verso of the jersey have been accented with Girardi’s number “5” in matching style while “Girardi” has been spelt out across the affixed matching arched nameplate across the top of the back. Exhibiting good game-use, stick marks are observed over the front, both sleeves and above the “D” in Girardi on the reverse while additional wear is found in the form of a board burn over each sleeve and a pair of small unrepaired holes at the left cuff and the lower reverse. Adding to its appeal, the jersey is photo-matched with Getty Image #109780533 (February 25th, 2011 vs Washington) to the stick marks over the front of the jersey. Additionally, Girardi has signed the reverse number “5” with a silver ink signature that displays without issue. A Steiner hologram is affixed to the size label on the inner collar and is accompanied by a matching LOA.
