Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024

A veteran of 656 National Hockey League games over the course of his fourteen (14) year career, Dan Bouchard would earn Hart Memorial Trophy voted during both the 1978-79 season with the Atlanta Flames and in 1980-81 when he split time between Calgary and the Quebec Nordiques. Suiting up for Team Canada during training camp of the inaugural Canada Cup tournament in 1976 that was eventually won by the Canadians, offered here is this Team Canada jersey that issued for use by Bouchard in hockey's first official best-on-best tournament that was never utilized. Made by Athletic Knit, the brand label has been torn from the inner collar of the heavyweight knit garment, with a measurement check showing that the jersey is roughly a modern size "44". Styled over the front with a rubberized and iconic Team Canada half leaf across the chest with "Canada" above it in matching style red letters, a pair of rubberized red leafs are also found over both shoulders along with Bouchard's number "32", which also is found over the verso, again in matching red rubberized style. Having had "Bouchard" spelt out in single layer red rubberized letters across the top of the reverse, the jersey remains in overall excellent condition despite some staining around the collar and over the lower reverse while a mark is observed on the left forearm as well. A game-issued offering from one of the most famous international hockey tournaments in the history of the game, don't miss out on this one!
