Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017

From his first of almost twenty seasons spent tending NHL nets, we have a St. Louis Blues jersey worn by Curtis Joseph during the pre-season of his rookie campaign in 1989-90. Originally worn by Jim Vesey during the second half of the 1987-88 season, the jersey was recycled for Joseph, with the netminder pictured on his 1990-91 Score hockey card wearing this style #33 jersey with the correct number placement along with the loose blue threading on the upper right section of the team crest that seems to be showing on his rookie card, but the image is not high resolution enough to call a photo-match. The garment currently sports a Joseph nameplate that has been placed over the "Vesey" nameplate with double-face tape, with the corners of the nameplate and the upper and lower middle portions lightly sewn-on.
Maska Air-Knit label with handwritten “52” sits affixed to the collar, with CCM and Custom Crafted logos over the reverse bottom hem. Featuring an attractive Blues’ team crest with “Saint Louis” embroidered on, the mesh garment has been accented with tri-colour sleeve and verso numbers, with the Barclay Plager "8" memorial patch over the left shoulder and Dan Kelly "DK" memorial patch over the right. Game-wear includes a few random marks over each sleeve and near the team crest, with some light paint transfer over each sleeve.
