Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/1/2022
Starting his career in Boston and best remembered as a member of the Edmonton Oilers, spending parts of nine seasons with the club which included a trio of Stanley Cup championships, Craig MacTavish wore this photo-matched Oilers jersey in 1986-87, where he scored 39 points in 79 games. A Nike label with “L” sizing is affixed to the collar, with a rubberized Nike logo over the reverse hem, with the jersey measuring-out to roughly a size 52. Styled with the famous Oilers team crest in layered tackle twill, “14” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with “MacTavish” across the nameplate in single white twill. The jersey also sports custom-shortened sleeves and shows nice game-use, with a few large stick marks over the front and additional marks to the sleeves, with team repairs present on each sleeve (7 on the right sleeve, and 2 on the left). Getty Image #463941974 (January 8, 1987) has been matched to the placement of the oil drop within the team crest. A team LOA and MeiGray COR will accompany.
