Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
A nine-time Stanley Cup champion with 11 appearances at the NHL All-Star Game, Claude Provost still holds the NHL record for the earliest goal in a period at 4 seconds. This stick was used by the 1,000+ game veteran during the championship years of the Montreal Canadiens in the late-1950s. A CCM Pattern Made Professional model with "Provost" and "14" stamped to the upper shaft, the original black tape remains in place over the blade and knob, with a few strands missing from the blade. The original striping sticker is intact but loose, with the stick showing moderate use, with a tear to the blade tape and a few marks to the shaft. Overall, a rarely found great gamer from an important player.
