Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019

The NHL’s all-time record holder for most penalties in a single game with 10, Chris Nilan spent over a dozen seasons in the world’s fastest league, winning a Stanley Cup in 1986 along with being selected to Team USA for the 1987 Canada Cup. From his final NHL season that was split between Montreal and Boston, we have a photo-matched Bruins jersey that was worn by the Boston native in 1991-92. A size “52” fly tag graces the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with the famous spoked-B Bruins team crest fully administered in tackle twill, the black V-neck has been accented with yellow sleeve and verso numbers with white trim, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. The NHL 75th anniversary patch is also present over the right breast. A framed photo (16” x 20”) of the image used for the photo-match will accompany.
Washed out marks are visible over the lower front, with board burns over the lower and upper left sleeve. The collar has been torn and repaired, with a second team repair over the left elbow. The cuffs have also been customized and reinforced on the jersey, with some pilling to the interior. A digital image has been matched to the longest white loose thread on the bottom middle edge of the 75th patch, and to the white loose thread on the interior of the "0" of the "30" over the right sleeve. Certain folds and the now washed-out long black mark through the team crest are also showing on that image. The framed photo (the same image as the digital example) has been signed by Nilan in black marker, with the tough guy adding “Knuckles” and his “3,043 PIMS”.
