Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
An amazingly solid blueliner who played in parts of a mind-boggling 27 seasons, Chris Chelios hold the NHL record for most games played by a defenceman. This Detroit Red Wings jersey was worn by Chelios in 2000-01. A CCM and size 52 fly tag remain affixed to the collar, with additional embroidered CCM and NHL crests on the back neckline and bottom hem respectively. With tackle twill numbers and letters along with a gorgeous and classic team crest, the back name has been sewn directly onto the garment. Good game-use is visible with a ton of dark marks scattered throughout, along with some staining around the neckline and shoulders.
The team stamp sits on the inner hem, and it divulges that this sweater is a “3rd Set” example. With great game-use and worn by one of the most prominent modern Hall of Famers, this sweater should elicit the proper attention and bidding.
