Soon to celebrate a century in the NHL, the Chicago Black Hawks are one of the most storied clubs all-time, with their Indian head uniforms considered one of the most attractive in the NHL. Having won a total of six (6) Stanley Cup championships in their illustrious history and also laying claim to numerous Hockey Hall of Fame inductees, offered here is this collection of seven (7) game-used Chicago Blackhawks sticks that date from the mid-to-late-1970s which includes examples from players such as Keith Magnusson, Cliff Koroll, John Marks, J.P. Bordeleau, Bill White, Mike Veisor and Grant Mulvey. A mix of Northland (Magnusson, Bordeleau, Veisor and Mulvey), Wilson (White and Koroll) and Victoriaville (Marks) models, each stick sports the player’s respective name and intact original tape job over the handles/knobs and blades (except for the Veisor stick) while some have also had their number penned over the upper shaft in marker ink. Also sporting "Gunzo's" supplier stamps over both sides of the upper shaft on every stick expect the Victoriaville Marks example, it is worth noting that the Magnuson stick has been signed by him with a black marker ink signature over the shaft that displays without issue while the White stick has been team-signed by sixteen (16) members of the 1974-75 Blackhawks including; Esposito, D. Hull, Russell, Marks, Martin, White, Bordeleau, Veisor, Magnuson, Reay (coach), Boldirev, Gagnon, Koroll, Pappin, Daigle and Mulvey. All signed in a mix of red and black marker ink, all the autographs display well and without issue other than some light fading from age. All showing good signs of game-use via dark marks and abrasions, it is worth mentioning that the Veisor stick shows multiple cracks/chips in the paddle while the Magnuson stick shows a bit of wear/a small crack to the underside of the heel. For the jersey a durene knit offering made by Wilson that dates from the 1970s but is based around the style worn by Chicago in the early-1960s, the classic tie-neck style garment has a Wilson size "46" brand label affixed to the inner collar while the front has been decorated with vintage Indian head crest that includes beautiful chain-stitched embroidery. Sporting matching crossed tomahawk alternate logos atop of both shoulders, the sleeves and verso have been styled with Dennis Hull's number "10" in single layer black twill numerals. Remaining in overall good condition with some fading and spot stains plus pills observed throughout, it is worth noting that a few light stick marks are present along with a red coloured board paint transfer and a board burn, both over the left elbow, but that we are attributing this use to having been caused by recreational play/use.
