Witness to countless historic moments including the first appearance and emergence of a young Wayne Gretzky on the professional scene, as well as numerous Stanley Cup championships during the Edmonton Oilers greatest seasons, Northland Coliseum was the spot in Edmonton for sports and entertainment, opening is doors to the public on a daily basis from 1974 until its official closing on January 1st of 2018. Offered here, is this massive American flag that once hung from the rafters of the famous facility. Proudly displaying the familiar Stars and Stripes of the United States of America, the flag, made by Nyl-Glo, is constructed of sewn together nylon pieces and has had the State stars embroidered into it while measuring out to approximately ten (10) feet in width and nineteen (19) feet in length. Featuring metal grommets at one heavily reinforced end which also displays a faded size stamp of "10 x 19", metal mounting hooks are found at both sides of the one end of the massive flag as well. Remaining in excellent condition despite some toning to the white portions from years of display as well as some red marks in the white stripes, general marks and dirtiness is present throughout as one would expect. Originally hailing from the team archives, an Oilers LOA will accompany the piece.
