Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
The first member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame to be depicted on his plaque wearing an Astros uniform, Craig Biggio spent a full two decades in Major League Baseball. The 1994 NL stolen base leader is also a seven-time All-Star and the recipient of five Silver Slugger Awards. We have a signed bat used by the superstar during his second season in the big leagues, circa-1989. A Louisville block letter “B348” model at just under 34”, “7” has been handwritten over the knob in black marker, with the center brand and all stampings perfectly deep and legible. Exhibiting ball marks over the barrel along with ink transfer and a small section of dead wood, pine tar/Mota stick has been applied to the handle, with Biggio adding a nice blue marker signature between the center brand and barrel stampings.
