Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018

A veteran of over 1000 NHL games, defenceman Bob Murray spent his entire career in The Windy City, amassing especially impressive numbers for a blueliner with 514 career points. We have a Black Hawks jersey that was worn by the Kingston native during the 1989-90 NHL season, his last with the club. A Maska Ultrafil label remains affixed to the collar along with an embroidered CCM crest over the reverse hem, with the jersey measuring-out to roughly a size 52. Styled with an absolutely gorgeous multi-coloured Indian head team crest with chain-stitched detailing, the white V-neck sweater has been accented with black tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers with red trim, with matching chain-stitched tomahawk crests over each shoulder. The fight strap remains intact, with “B. Murray” across the nameplate in single black twill.
Exhibiting heavy use, numerous dark marks absolutely cover the lower front and sleeves, with paint transfer near the left elbow. A bit of threading is missing from the base of the nameplate, with a small stain directly beneath the team crest. A number of team repairs are also present, mostly isolated to the right sleeve, with pilling to the interior of the garment.
