First guarding the Montreal crease as a twenty year old, Carey Price is currently in his 12th season with the Habs, with the Hart, Vezina, Ted Lindsay and William M. Jennings Trophies all won by the Vancouver native in 2015. Worn by Price in a Dec 4th contest vs the Rangers in 2008-09 (6-2 Montreal victory), we have a “1915-16” Canadiens centennial Set 1 jersey, and it’s been photo-matched. “Goalie Style” labeling along with a “58” size tag sit affixed to the collar, with handwritten “1” (for set 1), with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Adorned with the circa 1915-16 style team crest in tackle twill, the solid red tie-neck has been accented with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with the important centennial patch over the right shoulder. A hologram has also been affixed to the reverse “4” numbered “554722”, with the team patch over the inside hem numbered “A01377”, with both matching the accompanying LOA from the Canadiens.
Exhibiting just very light use, a single faint mark is visible directly beneath the right sleeve’s number. Getty Images #84014486 and #83919371 (Dec 4th 2008) have both been matched to the two small loose threads in the middle of the team crest.
