Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
Canada’s tenth and longest-serving Prime Minister, William Lyon Mackenzie King was the country’s top politician for most of the 1920s through 1940s minus the Great Depression era, with the Liberal best remembered for his leadership during the Second World War. We present a signed handwritten letter from the Harvard alum. Dated May 3, 1937 and on Ritz Hotel Piccadilly, London, letterhead, and addressed to secretary Alexander, with the fold-over affair sporting text on three pages in fountain pen, King as signed beneath "Yours Sincerely", with the signature remaining dark with no issues, with just the very end of the "G" of "King" light due to the fountain pen running low on ink. There is a fold line across the middle section, with "Mackenzie King" handwritten lightly in pencil above the date. A Classic Auctions LOA will accompany.
