Drafted 50th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks at the 1987 NHL Entry Draft, Cam Russell would play 396 games in the National Hockey League over the course of his career, all but thirty-five (35) of them in The Windy City with Chicago. Becoming a key part of the QMJHL's Halifax Moosehead following his retirement and building the squad that would end up winning the 2013 Memorial Cup, offered here is this Blackhawks jersey worn by Russell during the 1997-98 campaign. Made by Nike and sporting brand/size "56G", "Center Ice Authentic Collection" and "Made in Canada" labels affixed to the inner collar, the emblems of the NHL shield and Nike Swoosh have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with Chicago's famed Indigenous head crest that features beautiful chain-stitched details throughout, matching tomahawk alternate logo crests have been added over each shoulder with each also displaying with chain-stitched details throughout. Having had Russell's number "8" sewn to the sleeves and verso in dual layer black-over-red tackle twill numerals, "Russell" is spelt out in single layer black twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Marked with "98 5" inside the reverse hem over the back of the NHL shield to denote the year and set the jersey is from, the jersey exhibits moderate game-wear throughout including stick marks, board burns and coloured board paint transfer marks over both sleeves and good pilling on the interior at the elbows/arm pits. Additionally, the fight strap shows signs of numerous washings
