Bryan Trottier was a driving force behind the New York Islanders' four-year Cup run during the early-80s and would go on to celebrate two more Cup wins in Pittsburgh with the Penguins. This bold black knit photo-matched sweater, worn circa his final season in 1993-94, bears the wear of the wars of winter. Three repairs can be found on the lower front and right arm. Stick marks, board burns and paint transfer swipes only add to the tale of the game use. Tagged in the neck by CCM with the added black marker "19 A" and a size 52 fly tag off to one side. The alternate's "A" rests on the chest near the cascading "Pittsburgh" tackle twill lettering. An excellent example from this 524-goal Hall-of-Famer's swan song.
Regarding the previously mentioned photo-matches, Getty Images #129182353 and #3342958 have both been matched to the white burn to the left of the "A", to the loose string on the bottom of the "9" on the left sleeve, and to a pair of marks on that same 9, along with a partially washed-out mark in the white band beneath it.
