Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
On the night of December 22nd, 1996, Brett Hull snapped a wrist shot between the legs of L.A. Kings goalie Stephane Fiset at 9:35 of the third period, his third of the night, and one that saw him reach the magical 500-goal mark, thus joining his famous dad Bobby in the elite club. We have 2 St. Louis Post-Dispatch plaques that mark the historic milestone, replicated from the newspaper story the following day, with both metal plaques mounted on wood and one measuring 11” x 14” overall and the other 14 ½” x 21 ½”. Also included is a 16” x 24” professionally framed replica of a Post-Dispatch full page article from July 5, 1998 featuring a retrospect of Brett’s years in St. Louis. Condition-wise sees the 11” x 14” having 2 small nicks on the plaque but otherwise, no issues to report from all three. Comes with an LOA signed by Brett Hull.
