Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Brett Hull’s personal stash is highlighted by the famous and coveted rookie card of his dad Bobby, with the Golden Jet’s 1958-59 Topps RC a well-centered crease-free example. Very, very subtle warping is to mention on the otherwise EX to EX+ specimen. There are four of Brett’s ’88-89 Topps rookies, with one NM, two EX and one VG, while two pre-rookie cards (Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs #28) are noteworthy. A hand-signed Wayne Gretzky Parkhurst card, a Willie Mays auto’d card, 3 Bobby Hull vintage tattoos (on a sheet with three other athletes including Phil Esposito), two Bobby decals to decorate glasses, three off-grade Bobby cards and three 1960s’ Shirriff metal coins are present. Joining them are over 2000 cards of Brett, with between 50 and 100 or more of the same in some cases and mostly from his time with the Dallas Stars. Brett’s signed LOA will be included.
