Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Cool pair of Brett Hull’s circa 2003-04 Red Wings game-issued No. 80 pre-season jerseys include one with a “Herb Brooks Foundation” stamp inside the rear tail. Both size 56 jerseys have the straight nameplates with serifs in the surname lettering that Detroit uses during the pre-season, opposed to the arched, sans-serif lettering on regular season gamers, and Red Wings “Authentic Exhibition Game Jersey” stamps screened inside their tails. The jersey with the Brooks stamp has “1” screened in white in the back of the neck. The other jersey, which has a black mark on the right side of the Winged Wheel crest on the front, “4” screened in the neck. Comes with Brett Hull’s signed LOA.
Both jerseys have numbers, possibly registry codes, screened in white inside the jersey behind the Red Wings crest on the front. The jersey with the black mark on the front also has a few marks on the bottom right of the “0” sewn on the back. Because these two jerseys are not showing any real game wear and don't have customizations we have seen on other similar Hull jerseys we've handled, such as customized sleeves to add length, and shortened hems, we are offering these as game-issued jerseys.
