Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016

This sensational dark red NHL All-Star jersey was issued to Brendan Shanahan for the 1998 showcase game in Vancouver. Named the North American team's starting left wing as a result of fan voting, Shanahan has signed in black sharpie on the left side of this dark red airknit All-Star jersey. A red and white embroidered Canadian flag crest is sewn onto the right breast along with a 1998 All-Star Game crest on the right shoulder and a Detroit Red Wings crest on the left shoulder. The jersey's fight strap has an identification code sewn onto it. Although this is a game-issued jersey, there is a stick or puck mark on the right of the red, white and red triple twill #14 sewn onto the right sleeve. A really nice Shanahan All-Star jersey from the first NHL showcase to feature an international showdown of the league's stars.
