One of the most celebrated franchises in the National Hockey League and one of the Original Six, the Boston Bruins have collected six Stanley Cup’s in their 98-year history. Offered here is a Bruins game-used equipment collection consisting of four pieces. The first item is a Nike helmet that was worn by Andy Hilbert during the 2002-03 season. Black in colour with Bruins decals affixed to each side, additional stickers for Hilbert’s “16” and the NHL shield are found on the reverse. The helmet shows marks throughout while piece of foam that has come loose inside. The helmet has been photo-matched with Getty #52338763 to the wear on the front Nike logo. An LOA will accompany the piece. Second, is a pair of black CCM gloves worn by Brent Hughes. Dating to the mid-1990s, the all-black gloves with yellow accents are of leather and nylon construction with Bruins logo patches sewn to each wrist. Additionally, “Hughes” identifiers are screened to each wrist while Hughes has signed over the CCM logo in black marker. Exhibiting moderate wear with the palms showing heavy rubbing while remaining free of holes. Next, is another pair of gloves signed by David Shaw. CCM Supra models in black and white with Bruins patches sewn to each wrist, Shaw has signed each glove with a gold ink signature. Showcasing heavy wear throughout with holes in the palms, a handwritten “34” is found on each glove. We believe the gloves to have been worn by Lyndon Byers who wore “34” before Shaw joined the Bruins and wore this style of glove. No photos could be found of Shaw wearing CCM gloves. Saving the best for last, a pair of pants lowers worn by HOFer, Brian Leetch, in his final NHL season of 2005-06. Made by CCM, the all-black pants feature and embroidered CCM logo with sewn on Bruins and NHL logos. Presenting in excellent condition, Leetch has signed the right thigh with a silver ink signature that displays beautifully.
