This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
This magnificent 1971-72 Boston Bruins Prince of Wales Championship Trophy was presented to Charles W. Mulcahy Jr., who was the Vice President and General Counsel of the Bruins in 1971-72. This 13-inch-tall silver-plated and wooden miniature replica of the Prince of Wales Trophy displays beautifully, with "NHL Champions - Winners 1971-72 Boston Bruins" engraved on a plaque on one side of the 2-inch-tall wood base. “Charles W. Mulcahy, Jr” and the trophy's names appear on a metal plaque on the opposite side. The trophy has acquired a golden patina, with spots of loss showing, as well as wear to the top section and rim. From the Bruins fifth Cup, this trophy will be a welcomed addition to any collection featuring NHL hardware.
