Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020

Finishing behind both Montreal and Detroit at the conclusion of the 1952-53 NHL season, the Boston Bruins would slip past the Red Wings in the semifinals before bowing out to a powerful Canadiens squad in just five games. We have a Boston Garden program from that very season, team-signed by the Bruins. At 8” x 11” and featuring a youthful Bill Quackenbush on the cover, the center-line for the Nov 23 contest is intact (vs Toronto), with 17 signing the cover in blue ink including deceased HOF members Dumart, Patrick, Schmidt and Quackenbush, along with Armstrong, Laycoe, Toppazzini, Creighton, Godfrey, McIntyre, Henry, Labine, Chevrefils, Lund, Klukay, Pierson and one other. The signatures display admirably despite being somewhat bunched-up, with heavy wear to the program itself including tears along the spine.
