Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
The narrow wrap of black tape around the blade of Bobby Orr’s early-1970s Bruins signed game-used stick is almost as much of a signature as the dedicated black marker autograph the legendary defenseman placed on the shaft! “4 B Orr” is stamped on the shaft of this circa 1970-71 Victoriaville Pro signed gamer with the Mailhot & Freres stamps on both sides of the shaft below Bobby’s well-worn tape job on the knob. The yellow, white and black Bruins colors tape mostly remains low on the shaft, which has a big dedicated Orr signature that reads, “To Roger Fortin From Quebec City, Best Wishes, Bobby Orr.” Solid and crack-free gamer from Orr’s peak has nice game wear that features red goalpost paint transfer on the bottom edge of the blade.
“Fiberglass Patented 1960 #591454 Made in Canada” is stamped low on the front of the shaft.
