Hall-of-Fame defenseman Bobby Orr held many scoring records during his playing days, some of which still exist to this day including most assists scored in a single season by a defenseman. This puck, part of the famous NHL Goal Puck program from the 1972-73 and 1973-74 seasons, is a goal puck from the December 3rd, 1972 game held in Boston at the Gardens between the Bruins and the Philadelphia Flyers, scored by Fred Stanfield at 19:15 of the second period with assists by Mike Walton and the great Bobby Orr. The Boston Bruins Converse game puck shows great on-ice use and retains the well-worn paper label with the details of the goal applied by the NHL officials who maintained the NHL Goal Puck program. Included are the printed details of the box score from the game. A historical piece!
