Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/24/2021
The youngest player ever inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame and arguably the most talented, Bobby Orr re-wrote the history books regarding the defensive position and posted numbers throughout his career once thought impossible for a defenceman. We offer a signed and framed poster of the famous LeRoy Neiman work of the superstar blueliner from 1972. At approx 19” x 19” and a faithful reproduction of the original, the icon is wonderfully depicted in Neiman’s trademark style, with Orr adding a flawless black marker signature over the bottom right, with Neiman over the bottom left. Double-matted and framed to full dimensions of approx 29” x 29”, the display will be accompanied by a 2007 Orr McFarlane figurine in the original packaging along with what appears to be an unassembled and unpainted matching prototype.
The McFarlane figurine and box appear in beautiful condition with no issues, with the prototype pieces all off-white in colour, with the torso, pants, gloves, legs and head included along with a base.
